"A small act of kindness can bring about any tremendous change".This Chennai-based social worker Sneha Mohandoss, urged people to feed at least one needy person every day and proved the above saying.
Mohandoss is a 23-year-old visual communication student who is currently working in an events management organisation. She's the founder of Food Bank India initiative to connect social workers who wish to help the homeless with home-cooked and nutritious food in Chennai.
In a tweet, Mohandoss said, "I feel empowered when I do what I'm passionate about! I wish to inspire my fellow citizens, especially women, to come forward and join hands with me. I urge everyone to feed at least one needy person and contribute to a hunger-free planet." She also tweeted a video mentioning the work she has done through her organisation. Mohandoss said she started the Food Bank in 2015 and the basic motto was to fight against hunger and to create a hunger-free nation.
Since this pandemic crisis she deserves to be applauded since she never gets tired, serving those who're really in needy "Sweetkaramcoffee", a private franchise has contributed 200kgs of groceries for daily wagers. She distributed them for Auto drivers and single mothers' at Mannadi, Chennai. She has been Working with Chennai corporation to prevent & create Awareness on Coronavirus for homeless people. They distributed soaps, masks, towels and food for the beneficiaries who kept in the Government Shelters with the guidance of Chennai commissioner, Prakash IAS.
“Gentleness, self-sacrifice, and generosity are the exclusive possession of no one race or religion.” says Mahatma and accordingly she takes up the 'Corona Special Drive', serving 300+ lemon rice and sambar rice Food packs and distributing them for homeless people who are in the government Shelters. "M auto" and Ms. Bagalakumari has given her the required support. "Vive Consulting LLP" has contributed 1000+ biscuits packs.
